Discipline as a Major Ingredient

July 2026 1 min read

Few words on the importance of discipline. I came to the conclusion that discipline is this major ingredient that defines: are you winning or losing, on top of effort, on top of will, on top of drive and action.

I'm doing a proof of concept right now of stress-free. I'm in the early morning at the Katowice train station. I didn't rush; I didn't run. It was nice and comfortable. I slept okay and got enough time in the morning. I walked slowly, waiting for my train for half an hour on the platform, and I don't have any issue with that. My mind is rolling, but I'm comfortable. If I'm not rushing, I'm not compressing myself; I'm not squeezing myself to sweat emotionally. I am comfortably swimming.

What if I'm having stress-free living and working not because I don't have challenges, because I do it nice for myself, because I love myself so much? I don't want to expose myself to a necessary stress, rush, running.

It all ties down to the strategies of navigating the toxic environment of the musikere job. I have several notes this month in March 2026, while I was inside of it and I tried to navigate how to work there so that I'm still feeling good, so that it's not a problem for my life. I managed to arrive into mindset and workflow. I figured that out.

The thing is, doing it successfully with an musikere is impossible without discipline.
- A discipline of having focus on your own things despite what is running around you.
- A discipline of doing bigger chunks of work where thinking is important when you are undistracted and you are delivering creative solutions.
- A discipline to stay away from daily frenzy in Slack. The discipline of keeping, appreciating, and growing your own mojo, which is the basis of productivity, high-quality solutions, and happiness.
